Our Philosophy

We highly value your time and energy, and our primary goal is to ensure that every participant enjoys an exceptional experience during our workshops. Our team of professional photographers is dedicated to assisting you in capturing outstanding, imaginative, and unforgettable images. We offer individual guidance on camera settings and composition. Our objective is to ensure that everyone not only has a great time but also gains valuable insights into the art of photography.

Unlike some other workshops, our travel workshops are meticulously designed to maximize your shooting opportunities in the field. These experiences often begin before sunrise and extend well past sunset. On clear nights, we might even delve into astrophotography. In contrast to workshops held by others that limit shooting to just a few hours of sunrise and sunset, we keep you engaged and productive throughout the day. We firmly believe that the harsher daylight hours present an ideal chance to explore new locations, learn the art of scouting potential shooting spots, plan breathtaking nighttime photography, and learn from our skilled instructors about how to truly "see" through your camera lens. While you may not have much downtime during our workshops, you'll undoubtedly be exposed to numerous photographic opportunities and leave with a wealth of fresh ideas. We understand some would like to take a longer break during the day and may opt out of joining us on our afternoon scouting trips.

We teach full-time year-round photography classes, and we are passionate about imparting our knowledge to help our students progress and attain their photographic goals. Our travel workshops are limited to 8 photographers per instructor.

What participants are saying about our workshops:

I feel extremely lucky to have found The Photography Workshop. Mark, Warren, and Tony are all extremely talented photographers with a passion for sharing their knowledge. I’ve learned so much over the last 3 years, and had a ton of fun while doing so. I was a complete novice when I took boot camp 1 (didn’t even own a camera), quickly became hooked on photography, and attended MANY classes/workshops (bootcamps, lightroom, HDR, landscape, macro, light painting, fire spinning, and many more), and can happily recommend each and every one of them.

I recently had my 1st travel adventure, to Acadia, Maine. The views were spectacular. The instructors scouted the locations, provided recommendations on equipment/settings, plus new tips/tricks, and helped everyone with their personal struggles. My fellow photographers were great too. So much fun!
